Submission for consideration
***Please Note: Script Submissions Are Not Being Accepted at This Time–Stay connected for important updates on launch and submission opportunities*****
For a nominal fee you can submit your screenplay for production consideration. If the script passes review, it will be posted on our selections page for consumer voting. Every calendar quarter, votes will be reviewed, and the scripts receiving a significant number of votes will be taken back and re-reviewed for production cost feasibility and potential optioning.
If your screenplay is not selected to post for votes, it’s not the end. If you choose to purchase additional consultation packages, you can work with our team of professionals to bring your idea to a pitch worthy level and resubmit.
Why hasn’t this been done in the past? Though there are legalities around accepting unsolicited works, a waiver can alleviate these concerns for both parties. The primary reason this is not done in the industry is because of the mass amounts of scripts people tend to submit that are simply not up to par.
As a way to combat work overload for our readers, they my only read the first 5-20 pages of any script and only continue forward if the pages follow the standard industry format. Our readers will always provide you with the feedback you need to further your script, however in the instances where they are unable to continue past page 5 the feedback will be geared towards pushing you to page 10 and so on. We have found that too much negative feedback, all at once, can disenchant a writer and deter them from correcting or finishing their work, and trust me when I say, we want your story to go to production. We just need it to be told in a way that will captivate audiences.
As an upfront assist, we offer the basic screenwriting formula that needs to be followed and some pointers to ensure you are submitting what you feel is your best work upfront.

“As a screenwriter, I’ve been waiting a long time for a company like this to come along and open the gates. The industry really makes it hard for new talent to get in and this opportunity should level the playing field. I’m really rooting for this company to succeed where others have failed. “

“Other screenwriting competitions charge a separate entry fee and feedback fee, and the feedback provided is very opinionated and discouraging. They act like you won’t succeed without their continuous help, which costs more and more each time and still doesn’t help you advance in their competition. Spec Central Films sets their primary expectations upfront, including tips and tricks directly on their website, and only provides feedback that will further your scripts development, focused on formulated facts and not opinions”

“I love that Spec Central Films allows the public to vote on what they want to see next. This really gives the power back to the viewers and gives us something to look forward to rather than hoping and waiting for something to be made that we might be interested in seeing.”
